Once in time the earth was flat and central to this all, til the changing tides of knowledge ushered in
ways of understanding who we are and where we’re from, letting go the notion all was made for man.
Armed with new-found knowledge and a way to test its truths,
ancient myths were soon dispelled for what they were;
giving rise to humbled men who relish in the fact that we lack divine entitlement to earth.
You can’t have it all it’s not for you. You can’t have it all it’s not for you.
Think of progress, forward gain, advancement of a kind, and the hidden costs that progress often packs,
when gain for one relies upon destruction of the next, making one step forward truly two steps back.
You can’t have it all it’s not for you. You can’t have it all it’s not for you.
